I'm on a blogging roll this week. I've been wanting to do a weekly post. My blog is mostly about my kids. Okay, it's mostly about Hazel. In an effort to let you into my crazy head, I present What the Wednesday. This idea is hardly original. I stole it from a few different blogs but I love it. It's basically a list of the miscellaneous thoughts in my head. If you want to know where I stole this from, check out here and here. I'm pretty sure I made up the title, but wouldn't be surprised if someone else has used it. If it's a copy cat, it's purely coincidence. Lets get started, shall we?
I love the rain
I love the smell
How it makes everything so green an lush
Maybe I should reconsider my permanent residence in Utah
My preschool students are getting restless
We only have a little over a week left of school
Just imagine when they're Seniors
It's going to be a looong 13 years
I cannot for the life of me run on the treadmill
I got on last night fully intending to run 3 miles
I ran 1.5 and had to stop
I did some weights and thought I could run another mile
I ran .5 and stopped
It's soooo boring
What's my deal?
What's my deal?
Any advice?
We're going to San Diego this Summer
I've never been
Well, except for a day on our honeymoon before our cruise
Well, except for a day on our honeymoon before our cruise
Anything we must see or do?
We're definitely doing Sea World and the beach
So excited.
I made these avocado eggrolls for dinner last night
SO GOOD!
If you're in a dinner rut, you must try them
They'd be perfect for a Meatless Monday dish
We paired them with roasted potatoes and edamame
I'm not a fan of that dipping sauce, though
Yum!
So.
I'm running the Wasatch Back Relay in June (not the whole 188 miles, just 16ish)
Position 8 if you're interested
Position 8 if you're interested
Pray for me
Have you been watching The Voice?
I loved the first episode when the singers were doing the "blind auditions"
But now it's kind of boring
I still like American Idol better
Sorry all you AI haters
And what's up with Christina Aguilara?
She looks like she fell in a puddle of makeup
My vegetable garden is really growing!
Squash, Lettuce, Watermelon, Spinach, Beets, Tomatoes, Peppers, Sunflowers, Peas
I hope this cold, rainy weather doesn't kill everything
I don't know a thing about gardening
But I'm determined to eat from my garden
Even if it's just a single spinach leaf
Enjoy this rainy Wednesday

Old town is a great place to go. I love it there. Tijuana has great shopping.
Rain? It is so sad to go out and see my bunnies and chickens soaked but I do wish it would rain all night and be nice all day.
Thanks for sahring your blog it helps me through my day
I love what you said about Christina's makeup! Thanks for letting me know I am NOT the only one who feels that way!! LOL!!
I went to San Diego for cheerleading camp in high school and shopped on La Jolla. It was so fun! Do you know Cassie Cannon? You could email her for advice, she's lived there for years.
I wish I had a garden. It all sounds delish.
Fun post!
it was rainy here too. I also love love the rain which leads me to think I'll enjoy OR very much.
your posts make me happy. Good luck on your relay, that's pretty sweet.
You are hilarious, Ash! I miss you! Happy belated birthday. :)
definitely call cassie. we call her whenever we go to san diego and she always takes us to some great restaurants. there's one breakfast place we LOVE that she takes us too, but for the life of me, I can't remember the name of it. she also took us on a mini-tour one time and showed us some different parts around town and took us to a really good dessert place.
and i hear ya on the treadmill. it's so much harder. i have to run on it a lot though so what i do that has helped me a lot is i sprint one lap then jog a lap, sprint, then jog. it's amazing how much faster the miles seem to go when i do this. i also do a hill workout, alternating up and down every minute and that seems to help it go by faster as well.
I love it! I agree about falling in the pile of makeup... she grosses me out! Thanks for sharing your random thoughts. Looks like you had a great birthday! I am so glad!
In my opinion, running on a treadmill is a mental game and it is just as important to train your mind as it is your muscles. If you can conquer the mind-treadmill game, running outside will become so much easier (IMHO). On especially difficult days, I run a mile, walk a minute, or I run 30 minutes, walk 3 minutes, and so forth. If I’m listening to music, I’ll walk through the chorus. Whatever I do, I always give my mind some say in what it wants to do, and more often than not, I end up working myself harder. Running on the treadmill is HARD, but your mental game will be so much better. Just remember: Next time you want to give up - push on. Next time you want to skip a run - don't. Next time you want to ease up on your body - tell your body you run the show, not it. I'm proud of your strength, girl--don't let that treadmill boss you around.
