Dear Hub,

Thanks for 5 wonderful years together! You are the perfect man for me. Who else could make me laugh and melt at the same time? I had no idea when I married you that you would be such a perfect father. How thankful I am that we made that choice. Even though your time management skills drive me crazy - I wouldn't have it any other way. You just make me so darn happy. Happy Anniversary, Love!

Love,
Me

Hazel ~ 3 Weeks

Oh, how I love this baby. The little nickname we gave her during the pregnancy stuck. She's my sweet baby girl. She has yummy little lips that I just can't help but kiss whenever I can. She has the softest olive skin. Her toes are so long she can wrap them around our fingers. She loves to be snuggled, held and nursed. She hates baths, and her swing. I love dressing her up and Jarom loves his quiet time with her. Cannon smothers her with hugs and kisses. Her other nicknames include: Hazie, Daisy, Dolly, Missy, Kissy and Lovey.

She weighs 8 lbs 7 oz.
She is 21 inches long.

Some Fun with Friends

I feel like I know these two girls even though I just met Jessica on Friday and I briefly met Emily at a restaurant in Salt Lake several years ago. They are two girls that Jarom met during his Freshman year at BYU. They were part of a group of friends that hung out during their time in college. Now I read their blogs and keep Jarom updated on their lives.

Jessica (and her 3-year old son Carter) came into town this last week to visit Emily (and her 2 boys Isaac & Noah). We met up with them on Friday at the Children's Discovery Park. Cannon had a blast with their boys and Hazel was such a good baby on her very first outing - at 2 weeks old. I'm pretty sure that Cannon's favorite part was the Noah's Ark fountain/pool.

Here we are all together

My Birthday Boy!

I took Cannon outside for a little birthday photo session this morning. This is one of the first ones I took after I told him to "look at Mommy." Obeying is not one of his strongest personality traits.
That's my little stinker!

Here are some more. I just can't chose one of this crazy kid on his second birthday...
His best David Archuleta impression.

He found a helicopter.There's a smile. :)

Two years have flown by. I love this crazy kid. He is a talkative, sweet, dinosaur, tractor and four-wheeler-loving toddler. I can't imagine my life without him. Happy Birthday to my stink-a-link!

Fresh Baby Smell...

there is nothing like it!

Hazel is six days old today. She's such a sweet baby. She sleeps a LOT and only wakes up to eat then falls right back to sleep. So, this is how we see her most of the day. She had one rough night where she didn't want to sleep and seemed to be endlessly hungry. We're looking forward to the time when we are on a more regular schedule. :) But, until then, we are exhausted but happy. I so appreciate Jarom. He has been Mr. Mom while he gets to be home with us. He does dishes, cooks, cleans and entertains Cannon so I can recoup and take care of Hazel. He is the best! I'm feeling pretty good and have more energy each day. It's nice to sleep on my belly again. I forgot how nice that feels!

Here is one from the hospital that I love! This is Cannon meeting his little sister for the first time.

She's Here!

Hazel Gayle Becar was born this morning at 11:20. She weighs 8 lbs. 2 oz. and she's 19 inches long. We are so in love with this beautiful baby.

Labor and delivery were ideal. It took 5 hours of contractions and one push and she was here! I feel great and Jarom is a proud papa. Thanks for all the love and support.

Once again, Jarom was the great photographer. He took these while they were washing her up in the nursery.
