My sister, Megan, is a puppy raiser for Guide Dogs for the Blind. She's been doing it for five years (or so). She's raised about six dogs and keeps them for a year or longer before sending them back for formal training. Sherman is her first male and he's a sweetheart. He goes back for training this Saturday. We wish him luck!
She had me take these pictures last week and they turned out great. He's a good lookin' dude.

I have heard that they now train dogs for children with autism. I have a friend who is going through training with a dog right now. Maybe it is something she should check into!
