Epinephrine, also called "adrenaline," is the medication of choice for controlling a severe reaction. It is available by prescription as a self-injectable device (EpiPen® or Twinject®).
epinephrine. I am so glad your doing this Ashley. I missed yesterday dang it. O well. I think it is important. So many of my husbands side of the family suffers from severe allergies.
epinephrine, i know that one! my brother didn't have one on a flight from china and they had walnuts as a snack...he's so allergic he can't even be in the same room...when they landed he had to go straight to the hospital and had to have steroids/benadryl for days. it was awful.
EpiPen® and EpiPen Jr® Auto-Injectors (0.3 and 0.15 mg epinephrine) are for the emergency treatment of severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis).
Great contest and creative ways to raise awareness Ashley! I wish you much luck w/ your daughter and hope we can be a resource to you and your family. I'm so glad you were able to attend the support meeting w/ Dr. Hendershot - he's amazing!
...if I had known you were directing so many people to the FAQ page on our website I would have had it looking better! :)
